Hi,
I've configured a GDM that works fine in my CUE7.
But my problem is that :
1 - the group member doesn't see the MWI : I've already read the CUE Design Guide, saing that I should use the second line of the phone.
But after trying, the MWI is still off. The GDM primary extension is configured as a DN in the CUCME.
2- The MWI is not ow if I call the MWI number. For example : the MWI = 1998.... and 1999...., then it cannot be called. The phone play busy call.
Is there any solution
Best regards,
Antra

Hi Antra,
Can you please provide the GDM extension and the extension configured
on LIne 2
Also, check for this config on CME;
In Cisco Unified CME 4.0 and later versions, you can designate a phone line other than the primary line to be associated with the MWI lamp.
Step 1
enable
Example:
Router> enable
Enables privileged EXEC mode.
Enter your password if prompted.
Step 2
configure terminal
Example:
Router# configure terminal
Enters global configuration mode.
Step 3
ephone phone-tag
Example:
Router(config)# ephone 36
Enters ephone configuration mode.
phone-tag Unique sequence number that identifies this ephone during configuration tasks.
Step 4
mwi-line line-number
Example:
Router(config-ephone)# mwi-line 3
Selects a phone line to receive MWI treatment; when a message is waiting for the selected line, the message waiting indicator is activated.
line-number Ephone line number. Range is 1 to 34. Default is 1.
Step 5
end
Example:
Router(config-ephone)# end
Returns to privileged EXEC mode
Hope this helps!

Hi,
After some troubleshooting, the MWI works fine for each user, but not for the GDM.
Should I configure the GDM number as Line?
I ask this because the GDM Line is a Hunt Pilot.
So if I'll configure a line for this hunt Pilot then my second line will ring.
ephone-hunt 1 sequential

my 2 cents to point 2: if you can't call the mwi on and off numbers the phone or the line doesn't have the permission to do this. set the mwi numbers in a partition who is reachable for the phones or lines.
