Hello,
I have today my datacenter (quite small - 25 servers) sharing the same IP range as the LAN users.
Everything is working on 192.168.200.0/24
I'd like to split this LAN network into 2 LAN:
Both LAN (datacenter and users) have their own switches.
I'm wondering which kind of router should I use between these 2 new network?
This router will be dedicated for that, and should be 100 Mb at least.
Does anybody have an idea?
Many thanks in advance.

Magma,
If you have a router, want to buy a router - any router with a 100mbs interface will do. You have 2 easy options:-
1) If your switches are Cisco - then you can you VLAN trunking to the router via dot1q tagging
2) Or just configure a secondary IP address on the interface - both IP subnets will work.

Hi Magma,
Any router with 100 Mbps support will ful fill your requirement,I would suggest if you have l3 switch then inet vlan routing will be easy ease for communication between the vlans or you can go with router with interface on both the vlan as gateway for vlan users.
Hope to Help !!
