Hi,

I am having DMS with DMM 5.1, VP, DME, SA.

I have configured Email server & Email ID under SMTP & Alert conftiguration respectively. But i am not getting any notification for any activities.

I am using the same Email server & Email ID as an approver for video portal. It is working fine.

Can anyone help me to resolve this?

Rgds,

Nimit

Hi,

Thanks for your support.

Attached is the screen shot as you required.

Regards,

Nimit

There has been some issues with Email alerts in the certain releases.

Please try the following:

During a scheduled outage window, please restart the Tomcat Services or simply

reboot the DMM.  After the DMM restarts and all services are running, please

create or trigger an event to see if Email alerts start working.

Please let us know

Hello every body,

i have the same problem but when i verified the services i found that some of them are down and the only option available on services page is restart server, i does but nothing changed, some services still down, no notification, i verified with email server responsable and no messages are out posted from dms, is there a way to re-up those services on dms 5.1, and which release have the same trouble with email notification.

Raouf,

Your issue is definitely due to the "stopped" services.

With ActiveMQ, Tomcat, Event services down, things will

not work correctly in you DMS configuration.

Is this an Appliance or VMware demo setup?

Go To the AAI interface of the DMM server and

goto Appliance Control-->Reboot  and reboot the

appliance.

Once the server comes up, check the services again.

If the services stay down, you will need to get the Syslog files

from the AAI interface and open a TAC case to get a detailed

evaluation.

Note:  If this is VMware environment do not open a TAC case, not

supported.  VMware is only used for demos and test cases and is

not TAC supported.   If VMware, your problem may be due to lack

of resources or out of spec for the VM test environment.

Cheers!

If you want to upload the syslog files in this forum, perform the following first:

Clear the Logs & Set the Logging Options

------------------------------------------------------------

Go to the AAI of the Digital Media Manager (DMM)

and perform the following:

-- Select APPLIANCE_CONTROL--> Select LOGGING_OPTIONS

    -- Select CLEAN_LOGS--> CLEAN_TOMCAT_LOGS

    -- Then Select CHANGE_LOG_LEVEL--> DEBUG

After Tomcat Restarts on the DMM (can be verified either by the DMM-Admin-Services

Tab on DMM orvia simple Web Access of the DMMdirectly)

Return to the AAI of the DMM and get the SYSLOG files for the DMM.

-- Select APPLIANCE_CONTROL--> Select LOGGING_OPTIONS

    -- Select GET_SYSLOG

After retrieving the SYSLOG files from the DMM, upload the new

log files..
