Hi,

I am trying to use the RTTMON mib for QOS calculation. I have configured a UDP-Jitter operation on a Cisco device with IOS  Version 12.4(12).

I configured the operation using SNMP SET request as shown below.

snmpset -v2c -c NE1 172.22.2.1

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.1.1.4.9 i 9

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.2.1.1.9 i 27

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.2.1.2.9 x ' AC 16 01 01'   # 172.22.1.1

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.2.1.5.9 i 7

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.2.1.17.9 i 20

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.2.1.18.9 i 100

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.1.1.9.9 i 4

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.5.1.2.9 t 1

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.5.1.1.9 i 2147483647

I see that these values have been set correctly in the OIDS. However, I do not see results in the rttMonLatestJitterOperEntry. The rttMonLatestJitterOperSense has the value 6.

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.42.1.5.2.1.31.7 = INTEGER: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.42.1.5.2.1.31.8 = INTEGER: 6
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.42.1.5.2.1.31.9 = INTEGER: 6

Also the operation configured for UDP Jitter for Voip(index 7) shows the status as 0.

The target Ip configured is very much present in the routers IPRoute Table as the first hop as shown below

RFC1213-MIB::ipRouteNextHop.172.22.1.0 = IpAddress: 172.22.1.1

Currently none of my configured operations give any results. I have verified that all the operation are supported on the device in the rttMonApplSupportedRttTypesTable.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong.

Regards

Roycey

Index 9 is in a notConnected state.  Is 172.22.1.1 reachable from the source router?  Is it running the IP SLA responder?
