port-channel on 6506

I have the following  question:

how is distributed flows  in a port-channel default?

For example if we have a  port_channel with 2 interfaces  1 Gb

when a stream  with its  MAC address is what he always goes through the same link?  or one time the stream use the first interface  and the next time the second interface ?

Thanks you

ok   interesting document ,

but if a computer  A   ( MAC  AAA.AAA.AAA )   "talk" with an other computer  B (  MAC BBB.BBB.BBB ) ,   Do you know if  the stream use always the same interface in the port-channel ?

Or  when  the computer A  "talk"  with the computer B in a new session ,  the stream can use an other interface int the port-channel  ?

Hi Thierry,

The default load balancing algorithm for the 6500 is sce-dst-ip.  So a given connection from one host will use one of the links in the Etherchannel and the next host with a different IP will take the other port in the Etherchannel.
