Hi,

Can someone helps to understand what and IVR session is ? I saw somewhere that Cisco charges the IVR based on the number of session.

I have always thouht that an IVR was for giving callers some directions with a voice heard on the phone when they call. What does a session refer to then ? thank for letting me undertsand.

Does the unity express already get shipped with a preloaded IVR ?

I have this problem too.

IVR stands for Interactive Voice Response.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IVR

An IVR session is the actual media channel and associated resources that a product (Unity, Unity Connection, Unity Express, Contact Center Express, etc.) needs to allocate to handling an individual caller that is engaging an IVR.

Some products charge licenses for the IVR.  Some only charge if there is a premium feature set associated with the IVR.

With Unity Express, the IVR is a separate add-on license package.  Check here:

HTH.

Bill
