unity server snmp agent service stops

we have a unity 5.1 prim

/secondary and msg store server.

overnight the snmp service stopped & restarted on all 3 servers.

the msg store server continues to have the service restart.

anyone have an idea what might be causing this? the servers have been in production for over a year.

opened tac case and tac wants us to upgrade the rskdata service as first step. has anyone done this? does it require any reboots?

Hello,

I installed and uninstalled RSK on a lab server and did not have to reboot Unity for either.

I will speak a little further on the RSK issue. At times RSK and CSA will have issue and can cause the SNMP to have issue.

There are 3 bugs I'm aware of:

CSCsr47291 - CSA 5.2 causes SNMP and RSKdataservice to crash-

CSCsu09290 - CSA 5.2 agent causes Unity's RSKdataservice crash

CSCtf39345 - RSK does not work with CSA (This one is still unresolved and being looked at still by developers.

You can query these bugs on Cisco.com and use Bug Toolkit to get more info.
