Hi everyone,
I need to reset/rebuild a 7835 (CUCM 7.0(2a)). Its going to be used for a system upgrade and it's been pre configured in error without the .TAR and .XML files being used from the export of the old 4.1.2 system. Anyone have any ideas - I have searched but cant seem to find anything!!!
Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark,
We have not done this with CUCM but we have done this with CUC which is the same
platform
Shut down your current build on the 7835;
utils system shutdown
Insert the CUCM 7.0(2) install media and restart the box. It should see the
DVD and start the install over again and offer you the Windows migration option.
Import Windows Data
This option allows you to import database information from a Cisco Unified Communications Manager 4.x system by using a file that the Data Migration Assistant (DMA) tool produces.
Upgrading the First Cisco Unified Communications Manager Node
When you choose Windows Upgrade, the installation wizard prompts you for the location of the preexisting Windows configuration information that the Data Migration Assistant (DMA) tool created. See the Data Migration Assistant User Guide for more information on the DMA tool.
Step 1 - In the Windows Upgrade window, import data from a Windows version of Cisco Unified Communications Manager by choosing Yes
Hope this helps!

You can't import DMA data after the fact so you're only option is rebuild using DVD media and then import DMA during the new installation.
