New SnS install. Saving files locally until the storage server is ready. I create a video and when I try to publish I get the following error:

I've changed the hostname on the SnS server, rebooted, changed back, re-paired, etc. None of it seemed to make a difference. Next step I'm thinking is to reinstall SnS from scratch.

Anyone else run into this?

I have this problem too.

Is this a VMware Demo Image or the Actual SnS Appliance?

Please provide the following Screenshots:

- From the AAI interface, provide the "Show Info" screen (For the DMM & SnS)

- From the AAI interface, provide the "Date and Time Settings" screen (For the DMM & SnS)

- From the AAI interface, provide the "Appliance Control-->Pair Appliance-->(DMM\SnS)"

- From the SnS Web Admin, provide the "Administration-->Setup-->Show and Share" screen

- From the SnS Wen Admin, provide the "Manage-->User Roles" for the Username of the one

  experiencing the issues.

Can you access the URL (from your Browser)

http:///content/vportal/C-859b1b03-21f0-4026-be5f-593f581b203c_1/1276541026863WebCamCapture.flv

directly?

What Browser Application & Version are you using when the error occurs?

Thanks

Actual SnS appliance

Can you access the URL (from your Browser)

http:///content/vportal/C-859b1b03-21f0-4026-be5f-593f581b203c_1/1276541026863WebCamCapture.flv

directly?

No. The page errors out. I tried http://server:8443/ & http://server:8080/ both error out.

What  Browser Application & Version are you using when the error occurs?

Safari 4.0.5 & MacOS 10.6.3 & Flash 10.1

For some reason I cannot get past the flash applet with Firefox 3.6.3 on MacOS 10.6.3. I upgraded to Flash 10.1 hoping to remedy that, but it didn't matter.

An addiitional note: I can upload a video just fine.

Thanks for the help Tom!

I cannot reproduce the failure.  I use the same

Client setup and my webcam deployments work fine.

So, I need you to perform the following:

Go to the AAI of the Show and Share (SnS)

and perform the following:

-- Select APPLIANCE_CONTROL--> Select LOGGING_OPTIONS

    -- Select CLEAN_LOGS--> CLEAN_TOMCAT_LOGS

    -- Then Select CHANGE_LOG_LEVEL--> DEBUG

After Tomcat Restarts on the SnS (can be verified either by the DMM-Admin-Services Tab on DMM or

via simple Web Access of the SnS directly), Please Reproduce the WEBCAM deployment error.

-- Please screen capture any errors on the Web Deployment screen or My Videos Status Window

After the Deployment failure occurs, Return to the AAI of the SnS and get the SYSLOG files

for the SnS.

-- Select APPLIANCE_CONTROL--> Select LOGGING_OPTIONS

    -- Select GET_SYSLOG

After retrieving the SYSLOG files from the SnS, Please provide the following Log Files:

../var/log/apache-tomcat/catalina.out.2010-xx-xx  (The Latest file# which should be the largest file size)

./var/log/apache-tomcat/vp/DeployHandler.log

./var/log/apache-tomcat/vp/DeployStatus.log

./var/log/apache-tomcat/vp/ServiceRequests.log

./var/log/apache-tomcat/vp/ViewerHandler.log

Thanks
