E1 card for CCVP.

Hi experts. Pls help me sort out this issue. I know it will be just a matter of minutes for you guys so kindly spare this time.

I have following routers

1x2611Xm with NM-2V

1x2801 with Pvdm-8

Now i want to buy E1 cards to practice E1 channels and connections etc mainly for CCVP and if possible GWGK course also. I dont have any phone line or ISDN connection in my home. So all of the connections will be back to back. Can some one guide me with the appropriate part numbers for both 2611xm and 2801 pls ?

Hi, you can't use NM-2V to configure E1/T1 WIC ports, it can only help you to configure Media Resources and other stuffs. You can get the detail from here:

Anyway, if you can accomodate PVDM for both of the routers you can look for two VWIC-1MFT-E1 or VWIC-1MFT-E1/T1. But with PVDM2-8 you can configure 8 channels only out of 30 (which is enough for labbing) you need to take care of while considering design.
