Hi,

In a  IOS router, when I telnet, if I enter login details incorrectly 3 times, the telnet session drops

But I cannot seem to find the command, where this value is set !!

Its there for ip ssh authentication-retries BUT no shuch command seem to be available for telnet !

Anyone know where this is set ?

Thanks

I would always prefer SSH over Telnet, and for SSH you can set the number of reties with the command ip ssh authentication-retries

for telnet you r right, by default it is 3 times only and there is no option that comes with ip telnet blah blah !!!! hope someone answers more on this,

try OSL groupstudy for this query...
