is there any way to to implement some kind of limitation on the switch so that hosts connected on that switch on a particullar vlan (vlan 10) joins a particullar multicast grp only (220.127.116.11).
this needs to be done based on assumption that currently there is only a L3 SVI interface for VLan 10 on the switch. there is no access port defined on the switch.
am i missing something if i use only ip igmp access-grp on svi vlan interface to full fill this requirement?
ip igmp filter can only be applied on L2 (switchport) port but as of now i don't have any switch port under vlan 10 in this case.
i am trying this on 3560 switch.
