Hi.
I am tryinng to take a backup from LMS 2.6 in a Windows 2003 system. The backup appears to finish, and some files are generated in the backup directory, including one named filebackup.tar, wich seems to be the RME database backup, but the log file states an error: ERROR(1226): Database rmengdb backup failed. I can't find out what is causing this. I am taking this backup for migration purposes.
Thanks in advance.

This is not good. Your RME database has become corrupted. If you have a known good backup of LMS, you should restore it. If not, you will need to follow the instructions in that same document to reinitialize your RME database.

This is a line number in the code, and not an error code. Post the dbbackup.log from the server.

Thank you for your reply.
Here goes the log for the latest backup attempt.

See this document: https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-8796 . Run the database validation command against the rmeng DSN. What output do you get?
06-21-2010 10:32 AM
The validation command includes configureDB.pl, wich does not exist in my client's server. I think it is because the doccument reffers to LMS 3.1 and 3.2, but I'm working on a LMS 2.6. Is there any other way to run the validation or to retrieve the configureDB.pl?
06-21-2010 11:50 AM
The script is called configureDb.pl, and it does exist in LMS 2.6. It can be found in NMSROOT/objects/db/conf/configureDb.pl. It will work the same way as under LMS 3.1 and 3.2.

Ok, no way out, I'll have to reinitialize.
Thank you for your help.
