Hi,
If we configure GRE tunnel between over the network which is not Multicasting enabled. But we need to send multicasting packets over GRE tunnel.
If we run routing protocol on the GRE tunnel it will form the neighbor relationship. Will it encapsulate the multicasting packets?
Please share the experience.
Thanks in advance

Multicast over GRE works great. We use the ip pim sparse-dense-mode command on each end of the tunnel and performs great.

Hi,
Make sure that RPF is done over the GRE tunnel, otherwise multicast will not work...
