Migrating CUCM 4.1(3) to CUCM 7.1 (3b) using DMA

Hi,

I have a problem to migrate CUCM 4.1 (3) to CUCM 7.1 (3b) using a DMA version 7.1.3.

When I run DMA, I have the error message in attachment.

Do you think that’s problem of version? it’s correct to migrate directly CUCM 4.1(3) to 7.1(3) or I must to use a version intermediate?

Just for your information, I uninstall the integration with AD before running the DMA, it can provide a problem?

Thanks a lot,

Best Regards,

Omar

Hi

Your output says you have a succesful output with warnings. This means your DMA file will import, but some things may be missing or broken.

Click the 'Warnings Log' button, and search the logs for 'warning'. If you aren't sure what the warnings mean or how to address them, post it back here.

Hi Aaron,

Thanks too much for your quick answer;

Please, I send you the file Warning in attachement, if you can help me.

I want to know if I run the installation of CUCM 7.1 using this DMA Export file, what conseques would be generated in my New system?

Thanks again,

Best Regards,

Omar

Hi

I see an LDAP error, presumably due to you having removed LDAP.

Also see errors like this:

Table: CallingSearchSpace                  2010-06-17 19:15:16

   Row: 24 SQL error: -746(35133)
   Error executing "update CallingSearchSpace set Name='SOPHAL_Internat_IPMA_CSS_M_E' where pkid='d2c50042-0008-4804-bac8-29deb4fc1fa5'": [Informix][Informix ODBC Driver][Informix]Unspecified System Error =  -746. sqlerrm(35133)
      pkid                       d2c50042-0008-4804-bac8-29deb4fc1fa5  NOT MODIFIABLE
      Name                       SOPHAL_Internat_IPMA_CSS_M_E
      Description                CDG Manager accès à  l'international
      DialPlanWizardGenID
      Clause                     Generated_IPMA_Managers:logue:Interne:Interdirecteur:VMPilotNumberPT:VMPilotNumber2  NOT MODIFIABLE
      resetToggle                false
      tkReset                    2
      tkPartitionUsage           99  NOT MODIFIABLE

I suspect these are cuased by the 'description' field having special characters in it. Later, other elements also fail:

   Row: 74 SQL error: -746(35133)
   Error executing "update CallingSearchSpaceMember set fkRoutePartition='6223602d-61df-4aad-a497-a451e0afb8bd' where pkid='4ff5ea2f-b2b5-4463-b7ba-2366a688829e'": [Informix][Informix ODBC Driver][Informix]Unspecified System Error =  -746. sqlerrm(35133)
      pkid                       4ff5ea2f-b2b5-4463-b7ba-2366a688829e  NOT MODIFIABLE
      fkCallingSearchSpace       d2c50042-0008-4804-bac8-29deb4fc1fa5  NOT MODIFIABLE
      fkRoutePartition           6223602d-61df-4aad-a497-a451e0afb8bd
      SortOrder                  4

I believe this is because the earlier CSS was not imported to Informix, so the PKID (d2c50042-0008-4804-bac8-29deb4fc1fa5) is not a valid reference.

What I would do is change the single CSS above to have a simple description, and then re-run DMA. If there is no error logged for this on this attempt, I would then correct the description fields on the other CSSs.

Aaron

Hi

You have used special character.

Remove all äöü ' ^and so on and rerun the DMA.

Chers Roland

Hi All,

thanks too much for your help and answer.

I change the Description of CSSs with the simple description, and the no error message about CSS display. But I have always the 2 others messages error:

06/18/2010  16:46:52

Warning: LDAP Operation Failed

ErrorMessage = No such object

Solution: Please note the LDAP error

I want to inform you that I remove the integration with AD before running the DMA, it’s not recommended to do this action?

Hi Omar

Do not use more than 30 Char in

*      Label                     FILALI JAOUHARI Abdeslam BLOCKED*

*      Display                               FILALI JAOUHARI Abdeslam*

*      LabelASCII                         FILALI JAOUHARI Abdeslam BLOCK*

*      DisplayASCII                      FILALI JAOUHARI Abdeslam*

It should work after them.

Regards

       Roland Marti
