I have an environment of CUCM 7.0.2 and CUE 7.0.3. I have successfully integrated the two entities.
However, I want to configure email notifications for the CUE users. I get the voicemail on the phone fine but I don't recieve the email notifications at all. I do a "show voicemail notification queue email" and I see nothing there.
I had notification for one of the users set to email and I had it set for 24 hours/7 days a week. I have entered his account [email protected]
My question is with the SMTP server settings. My Server is Exchange. I have an email account created on it. [email protected] and I set the parameters as follows:
External SMTP Server: 172.16.50.50
External SMTP Server Port:25
Username: [email protected]
I can ping from the CUE to the exchange server no problem
Is there something I'm missing?

The problem is likely to be with Exchange as it has to be setup to allow SMTP relay.
I would download Post Cast SMTP Server for Windows and use that as the SMTP server for test purposes. If that all functions ok then try configuring Exchange as detailed in the link below (Exchange 2007).
