Voicemail messages are being forwarded to Exchange email accounts. They would like their voicemail on the UC500 automatically deleted after 3 days. They never want to check their actual voicemail on the Cisco.
I set message expiry time to 3 days in CUE for their mailboxes but that does not seem to do anything.
Anyone have an idea on this?

Hi Jason,
I set message expiry time to 3 days in CUE for their mailboxes but that does not seem to do anything.
I was wondering about the same thing myself, I set the removal of them for 72 hours, 72 hours hits and they still stay in the system, but not in the VM inbox, it would seem that the CUE holds on to it for still sometime after before it fully removes it from the system. I also notice that when you log into your VM you can listen to deleted messages (Not sure yet for how long).
I too am looking for a suitable way to do this, it would be good if they could just be auto deleted when using IMAP, and it would be even better if when using SMTP that the CUE would remove the VM after 48 hours (Option must be chosen by checking a box for it).
If you find a solution let me know, and i find one i will pass it onto you
Cheers,
David.

This might work if you have the IMAP folder setup in Outlook.
Right click on the IMAP inbox.
Left click properties.
Click the autoarchive tab.
Choose archive this folder using these settings.
Clean out items older than 2 days.
Permanently delete old items.

One other thing.
In Outlook, go to Tools then Options
Click on the Other tab
Click the Autoarchive button
Make sure run autoarchive every 1 day is checked
