Hi,

We are receiving traps from our FC switches and I cannot find any Cisco MIB with the definitions for this trap.

Mon Jun 21 12:58:27 2010: Unknown trap (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.9998.0.1) received from fc01.myco.com at:
Value 0: fc01-myco.com
Value 1: 16.106.8.110
Value 2: 122:14:58:40.21
Value 3: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.9998.0.1
Value 4: 16.106.8.110
Value 5:
Value 6:
Ent Value 0: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.282.1.1.4=245
Ent Value 1: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.9998.1.2.5=1
Ent Value 2: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.9998.1.2.6=50 01 43 80 02 24 13 F0
Ent Value 3: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.9998.1.2.3=2
Ent Value 4: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.9998.1.2.4=2

Ent Value 4: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.9998.1.2.4=2

I have gone thru the MIBs Cisco lists online - no match found.  I get close but the trap/notification is not included in any MIB.

Regards,

Ken Burden

I agree that is may well be a bug.  Take a look at this MIB - I have used BOLD and 18pt FONT to highlight the relavent portions.

.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.9998.0 - note the name "ciscoGgsnExtMIBNotifs".  Doesn't look like this MIB is a good fit for FC switches  - bug?

This ciscoMgmt number may be assigned to any number of MIBs prior to product release.  The product team should get an official assignment from our ANA before they release.  However, this is not always the case.  I think you might be seeing CSCtb82003, and this trap is cfdmiRejectRegNotify from the CISCO-FDMI-MIB.  This should be fixed in 5.0(2) release code.
