Hi ,

Wanted to know if there isa way to failover to backup TTS server in CVP comprehensive call flow model. Cisco recommends using CSS(Content Service Switch) .But is there any other way I can achieve this ?.

Any pointer  would be helpful.

Thanks

Hi,

You can set the following on the VXML gateway:

ip host tts-

ip host tts--backup < ip address of backup TTS server>

So it would look something like (assuming your local is en-us):

ip host tts-en-us 10.10.10.1

ip host tts-en-us-backup 10.20.10.1

This is shown in deatil in the CVP config and admin guide.

Hope that helps.

Hi

I'm having a problem with this. I am also using the comprehensive model. I have the following relevant config on the gateway.

ip host tts-pt-PT 10.105.37.20
ip host tts-pt-PT-backup 10.101.139.20

ivr tts-server rtsp://tts-pt-PT/synthesizer

Yet when I shutdown the primary TTS Server the gateway is not failing over to the backup TTS server.

What could I be missing?

Thanks

Victor
