CUCIMOC Trial

Hi,

My customer is currently on CUCM 6.1(5) with OCS 2007 R2 already deployed and wanting to trial CUCIMOC for 100 users (out of 1500 users in the cluster).

Let's assume that all users' phone number in has been normalised to E.164 numbering scheme in AD and that application dialling rules has been setup in Call Manager.

Obviously those 100 selected CUCIMOC users can see the other 1400 non-CUCIMOC users' presence status.

But can those 100 selected CUCIMOC users perform a click-to-dial to the non-CUCIMOC users? My educated guess is that they can still do that.

I haven't come across a setup where only some users are enabled in CUCIMOC.

Any comments/confirmation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Daniel

It depends on how you "dial".

If you "dial via computer" (MOC built-in feature), of course you can call any MOC user's (computer).  This call does NOT go through Cisco CUCM.

If you "drag-to-dial" to CUCIMOC pane, the call will go through Cisco CUCM.  If the number presented to CUCM was right, CUCM will extend the call to destination (usually Cisco IP phones).
