IPV6 and failover 8.0.4

Hi,

we are getting the following messages in our PIX with 8.0.4 SW version:

%PIX-6-110002: Failed to locate egress interface for UDP int_inside:IPV6add to IPV6add2

%PIX-6-110002: Failed to locate egress interface for TCPint_inside:IPV6add to IPV6add2

this only happens when we have the PIXs in failover, if we put it in standalone both work without this problem..

failover it's already supported with IPV6 configured?

Thank you.

Norberto,

IPv6 failover is supported as of ASA (not PIX) version 8.2.2

Do you receive those messages on active unit?

Marcin

We have the failover configured in ipv4 but we are using ipv6 also..is failover unsupported in this scenarium? Or it's just unsupported if we have the failover configured with ipv6 addresses?

Norberto,

Before 8.2.2 both active and standby unit were using same IPv6 address which is already quite interesting for say management purposes

Marcin

But in double-stack (with the failover configured with ipv4) it's this supported?

If you're aware of the limitations I don't think anyone will claim it's not supported.
