SPA 504G does not invite music on hold via outbound proxy

Hello,

I'm testing music on hold with the 504g with firmware version 7.4.4

When the music on hold server is set and hold is pressed INVITEs to the moh server are sent directly to the IP address returned on an A record lookup of the moh server.  The phone is configured to use an outbound proxy for all predialog and in dialog requests ("Use Outbound Proxy" & "Use OB Proxy In Dialog" both set to "yes")

This bug is nearly identical to one I posted previously for the SPA 942 (see thread https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3125394 and resultant defect number CSCte64251)

Attached is a pcap of the 504g (erick.1@beta.junctionnetworks.com) on a call with an eyebeam (enoch@example.onsip.com).  erick.1 puts enoch on hold through the outbound proxy and then begins inviting moh@beta.junctionnetworks.com but instead of sending the invites through the proxy, it sends them directly to the A record for beta.junctionnetworks.com.  The 504g is also configured to do DNS SRV lookups but it doesn't seem to do those for anything other than the proxy.

Please confirm that this is an issue.

Cheers

Erick Johnson

Quick follow up on this, doing a DNS lookup for beta.junctionnetworks.com (the domain of the MOH server) you'll see

$ dig beta.junctionnetworks.com
...

;; ANSWER SECTION:
beta.junctionnetworks.com. 60    IN    A    69.57.179.234

...

$ dig _sip._udp.beta.junctionnetworks.com SRV

...

;; ANSWER SECTION:
_sip._udp.beta.junctionnetworks.com. 300 IN SRV    5 0 5060 proxybeta.jnctn.net.

...

the INVITEs to the moh server are being sent to 69.57.179.234

with the latest 7.4.6 firmware now the SPA504G does send the held caller to the MOH stream, however when picking the call back up the line goes silent on both ends but still is connected.  the SPA525G, also with 7.4.6 firmware, works correctly (held caller hears MOH, and SPA525G can pick the call back up without a problem.)

Hi,

Is there a status update on this?  Was there a defect number ever created for the 7.x.x firmware line?

Cheers,

Erick J

I just wanted to report that even today using 7.6.2 this is an issue.

Are there any updates or bug reports with regards to this issue?
