Netbios over site to site VPN?

Unanswered Question

I have an issue with "My Network Places",

It does not seem to work between our offices, which are on different subnets and domians.

In My Network Places you can see each domian listed, but when you click you get "Access denied" after a timeout.

the offices are linked by Cisco ASA 5500's.

Network Places works fine in each office. I have configured WINS in each office and they replecate the records to each other, so that they know where the vairous browsers are.

I am tearing my hair out over this?

When I browse I can see from the logs the client machine passing packets to the local subnet, but not the subnet required?

I have this problem too.

Wellllllll.... could be a number of things.

Including netbios inspection on ASA.

Are you calling the shares by name or by IP address.

If you call by IP do you see packets popping up on the other side.

Perhaps I did not make myself clear!

I can access shares by name or by ip address.

It is when I use "Network Neighbourhood" in Windows that I get problems.

My server on site A will broadcast packets to try to reach site B, but they do not pass by the Cisco appliance.
