I am look for config an 1250AP (AIR-LAP1252AG-C-K9) to Join in a 5508 wireless cotroller. When the AP first time join in, I can see the AP in the WLC. But a couple of sec, the AP will lose in the WLC. I checked console in the AP. I cannot type anything in the AP console.

The join log in the WLC is "mage data request received from an unsupported AP"

What's wrong of the AP or Wireless controller ?

When the AP is not connect the network. And I hard reset it (go back to autonomous AP).

The console is workable. It can be type command.

But when AP plug in the network. It will be auto run a flash "flash:/c1250-rcvk9w8-mx".

After the image complete to load, it cannot type anything.

What you are saying is that your AP won't join the controller after booting the "rcv" IOS file.  Is this correct?

Hi,

You have an issue with one of your radios in the 1250. Where did you get the module in 0/0/0? If that’s from Cisco you might need an RMA.

I am having a similar issue, only the AP is an 1142 and it is able to join the controller.

In the AP log I get *Oct 25 12:19:04.878: %DOT11-2-TX_PWR_TIMO: Interface Dot11Radio1, Timed out waiting for fw to clear txp_pndg flag.

The AP joins the controller and Radio0 (2.4 ghz) comes online and everything is great.  However, the 5ghz radio seems to be having an issue.  The unusual thing is that the WLC says that this AP only has one Radio.  It doesn't show Radio1 as administratively up and operationally down, it just shows that Radio1 doesn't exist.

However, WCS knows that the AP should have Radio1 so it's giving me the alert.

Is this also a hardware issue?

I would try to convert is back to IOS and then see if the radios come up.  You can also run the show controllers dot11Radio command to see if the radio is functioning or not.
