Cta 3750 stack Switch Priority command not seen in config file

Hi there,

I have done a show switch in the stack master  and it shows :

Switch/Stack Mac Address : 0012.4367.1480

                                           H/W   Current

Switch#  Role   Mac Address     Priority Version  State

----------------------------------------------------------

*1       Master 0012.4367.1480     13     0       Ready

but I I do not see in the config file (sh run)  any line which said:

Switch 1 priority 13 .

So where is this command hidden?

Any feedback welcome.

Edmond

The switch priority is kept as an environment variable and does not appear in nvram:startup-config (actually flash:config.text on the Cat3750) because the switch needs to know its priority at boot time long before it is ready to parse the startup configuration.

Therefore, it does the switch no real good to save the setting into the startup-configuration: the switch cannot make use of any value stored there.

You will have to use show switch detail to see the priority.
