Are the Nexus switches the only ones that support VN Link, "VEB in the switch," etc? I am wondering if the 4900s will be able to support SR-IOV/IV in the near future...or ever, for that matter.
Perhaps this is a question best answered by Cisco engineers?
Thanks

Victor,
We don't have the liberty to discuss future releases in our product line.
If you are inclined, reach out one of our SE guys at Cisco and perhaps they can provide this information one-on-one.
Regards,
Edison.

Edison:
OK, I understand. I was asking because I have a client who wants to know which Cisco ToR switches are going to support 10G, unified fabrics, as well as the VN-link solution. Right now, given what I know, all I can recommend is the Nexus.
Thanks for the tip.
Victor
