How long does it take for a cucmbe version switch to take place?

Hi

Iv'e just upgraded my cucmbe from 7.1.3a to 7.1.3b and issued the version switch command.

How long should it take before the system reboots onto the new version.

It's been approx 50 mins and I can't ping the cucmbe so I'm guessing there may be a problem?

You may try "system switch-version nodatasync"

Unfortunately I am 250 miles away from the cucmbe.

I can't even ping the device so I'm thinking that if its not doing some sort of upgrade work then it's either crashed or hung on startup.

The version upgrade didn't throw up any errors and then I het the version switch button.

Hi

Nothing better than hindsight... but this is a good example scenario of why you would always set up the iLO on the server (especially if it's a Cisco branded one with the advanced features enabled) if you don't have a remote KVM to see what is going on before the OS is up...
