High memory utilization

Hi,

I would like to ask you one question regarding memory utilization on WAE. The thing is that it is constatnly high on all WAEs in our network (96 - 98%). On the other hand, CM is not reporting any troubles. In addition, "sh alarms" doesnt show any issues on the box. So is this state typical for the WAE, please ?

The output of sh memory:

/* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;}

Hi Stan,

This is normal.  The majority of the memory is preallocated to various processes when the system starts.  Unlike other types of systems, monitoring memory consumption in WAAS is not a good indication of performance.

Hi Seils,

That means although the memory utilaisatios is 90-95%,this is normal behaviour for WAAS??Appriciate if you can clarify.

Thanks
