Hi All,

So it's time for our Show n Share to go public.

I have done the NAT from our public ip to the private one.

The NATing is succesfull, internet users can access the SnS BUT the videos (which are stored on another appliance) fail to load.

I have assigned another public ip to be resolved to the video server but still nothing happes.

Any ideas??

Thank you all

Take the SnS out of the picture.

Can you access the video content on the other appliance directly from the

PUBLIC client?   If so, then there shouldn't be an issue with the SnS.

You need to make sure all of the required ports are open.

In the Activity window of the Public Browser, you should see the

failure of trying to access the desired content.  Look at the URL that

it is trying to open.

Cheers!

Hi Tomas,

Thanks for answering!

So,to get the big picture(correct me if i'm wrong).

First, the public user hits the SnS portal.

Second,he selects a video (which is stored on another appliance-video server)

Third, the SnS  "redirects" user to the video server in order to  load the video

So, eventually the video is not loaded from a thread on the SnS BUT from a "redirection" of the user TO the video server that is handled from the SnS?

Waiting for your guidance!

Thanking you

That is correct.

You should be able to see this in the browser

activity window or via a separate tool like "firebug"

for firefox.

It should record the failure and you can

see this activity.

Cheers!

Hi Tomas,

It worked.Actually, i had to change the ip of the hosting server to a hostname and then add this hostname to hosts file so it can be reachable.

Tested it and workis fine.

Thank you once more
