Is there a requirement for the CUB Attendant Server to be installed on a separate machine before a CUB Attendant console installation. Is this
application running in a sever/client enviroment and the Attendant Server must be installed on the first machine and console users installed
after a server is established? The CUCM is 7.1.3 and the CUBAC is 8.0.0.5

Hi there,
You are most correct The server component needs to be built as a first step;
You can install the Cisco Unified Business Attendant Console to a dedicated hardware server or load it on a desktop PC running Windows Server 2003 R1 or R2 or Windows Server 2008 R1. A web-based installation utility guides you through configuring the application server with Cisco Unified Communications Manager. For each operator client, Cisco Unified Business Attendant Console client software is loaded on the operator's desktop PC.
Cheers!

Rob,
Thanks. That pretty much cleared that up.

Is there any way for the inbound call to ring the phone first instead of the console. The design guide indicates that is the
normal call flow for CUBAC. We had to install speakers on the client console in order to hear the ring. The
attendant has a Plantronic wireless hookswitch headset plugged into the phone. The beep indicator does not
come in the headpiece first because the initial call goes to the console. Any other workarounds?

Had not seen this before. Is this a purchase item or can it be downloaded? Can the server run in a vm?
