Call Manager Upgrade licensing

Hi,


Very quick question:


At what point in a upgrade of Call Manager do you require a license upgrade as well?


If I'm going between say 7.1(3) to 7.1(5) or if I say go from 7.1(x) to 7.2(x).


Or is it simply between major versions say 7.x to 8.x

My understanding is this:



Upgrades to a new "train" of code requires a new Software Feature License. So for example;


CUCM 6.0(x) to 6.1(x) = No


CUCM 6.(x) to 7.0(x) = Yes


In these cases, if you are current on UCCS then you can order the appropriate upgrade via the Product Upgrade Tool (PUT).
