Can the 15454 support a 10GE client source using Layer 2 Switching (Not RPR) at a Hub site to be distributing Ethernet to many collector nodes/rings over OC-12/48 links?

There is no 10Gb ethernet card for 15454 which you want to take over OC 12/48 rings. (There are 10G cards for DWDM box).


As far as I know ethernet are point to point links means you have Ethernet interface at client side and in core network they go as T1/E1 and same speed on both client interface.

Let see you have 10G client ethernet at hub , how can you take a 10G on Oc12/48 Rings.

If it is broadcast 10G then also you need 10G client on other side not lower speed client.
