Notification of Full Voicemail Box/Auto-Empty

Several questions relating to voicemail storage for mailboxes on UC500 series.

1) Ability to get notified when a voicemail box is full or nearing full

2) Auto-empty old voicemail to prevent voicemail boxes from becoming full

I would think this is a common problem for people who are setup to check voicemail through email and never delete messages from the UC500's storage.

Hi John,

There is the option, as you are probably aware of, access via http://10.1.10.1, of mandatory message expiry which ;

Mandatory message expiry

Administrators can better manage and maintain the message store on the system by using mandatory message expiry. This option enforces a policy whereby subscribers must delete messages upon expiry.

John, m aybe someone has figured a way to do exactly what you want, I will monitor this post with interest.

Hi John,

1) Ability
to get notified when a voicemail box is full or nearing full

This is not possible as of yet, I have requested something similar to this in the past, but more so to allow a person to log in via the Web GUI and delete voice mail messages manually. But your idea is great as it would be useful when SMTP is enabled on the system and for it to send a message to a programmed user(s) that their inbox is 75% Full and requires their attention.... Love the idea.

2) Auto-empty old voicemail to prevent voicemail boxes from becoming full

The system already has something in place, it works "Kind of" and is defaulted to 30 days, you can decrease this, and once those messages are deleted they can still be accessed for a short period of time in the deleted messages section when you log into your voice mail .

Cheers,

David.

Hi John,

Currenlty you there is no way to delete messages from a mailbox after a period of time.

Is this for voicemails or fax to email feature on the UC?
