How to transfer image from one AP to another AP (Cisco Aironet AP 1300)

Hi All,

I need a favour, can someone tell me how i can transfer an image from one AP to another AP. I know you have to make one of them as a tftp-server, but it will be helpful if someone can just specify the cli here. I've also tired archive download-sw /overwrite /reload
tftp:[[//location]/directory]/image-name, but it did not work.

Thanks, and your help is much appreciated.

Regards,

Log into the CLI and type "show run." Copy that, log into the CLI of your second AP, type "config," and paste the config you copied.

sorry, i do not want to copy the configurations, but i want to copy the image file.

Do you not have access to just download the image file from Cisco?

how about the archive upload-sw blah blah blah. You should upload to a tftp server (pc) then download it to the next AP.

I guess you can do it that way, but I don't see the point unless you don't have access to Cisco Support downloads. The image you TFTP off an AP is no different than the same version of image file downloaded from Cisco..

no i don't want to download the file from cisco. we're accessing this devices through a citrix platform, so there's no tftpservers involved.

So i'm trying to figure out how we can transfer the image from ap to ap.
