Determining age of equipment

Hi guys,

is there anyway I can tell how old an equipment is based on the serial number or somehwere in SNMP?

Not via SNMP.  However, the manufacturing date is printed on the outside of the chassis usually on a yellow sticker.  You can actually search for the model in the End of Life records on Cisco.com (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/prod_end_of_life.html).

I'm not really jsut looking at EOL but looking at devices which need to go through a network refresh and when.

Unfortunately, there are hundreds of devices and for me to go through each one and physically check would be a nightmare. I was hoping there's a tool to check Mfg Date based on the serial#
