srw2048 routing to common server

Hi all you experts,

i have a planning problem where i need to choose the proper components.

In our clinic we presently have 2 srw2048 switches with no vlans. All devices have the same subnet.

Approx. half of the clinic is moving to another location in town and will be connected with fibre optic at 100Mbit/s.

In case this fibre optic fails, i propose to use ipsec/vpn to connect both locations temporarily for backup purposes. In order to do this the locations must have different subnets for our vpn firewall to route properly.

Server ressources are needed in both locations so that they need to be accessed from both locations also.

Question: Can I trunk a port from the srw2048  to a (new) sge2000 and set a static route to the server ressources, as well as VLANS for separate locations so that  both locations can access the servers?

Is there a better way?

We are SMB with around 80-100 devices, so a solution needs to fit SMB-Style.

Thanks ahead for any help.
