Hello All -
Unity Connection 7.0.2.10000-38
Uploaded 150 new users into this system one week before the actual roll out. Most of the user were able to login right away and change there voicemail password. However a group of users took a week to do this, when they attempt to login the following message is given " Your password has expired please see your system administrator". Resetting the vm password fixes the problem. Is there some type of security setting that expires new passwords which are not used within a certain amount of time?

These settings are contained in the Authentication Rules which are then applied to a User Template.

Hello Hailey - Under my "recommended voicemail authentication" rule credential expires after "180 days". Is this the setting you are referring to?

Under normal circumstances, this is what controls user password expiration. Keep in mind that you are running 7.0 code which is very buggy. You may be hitting a bug of some sort on that version of code. I would recommend getting to 7.1(3b)SU2 fairly quickly to avoid a number of headaches. Also, this could be affected by whether or not this is a new build or a migration from Unity to CUC.
