APS not working

Hi All

I have two routers (7613 and 6509) connceted point-to-point with STM1 cards, APS is working correctly between these two router connected point-to-point but once the SDH equipment is attached then my APS is not working no more. Can you please assist in determining what could be a problem.

I have attached the configurations.

Whose SDH gear is connected to the 6500 and 7600 ? How is it configured?

My guess is that is where the problem lies.

Noting jumped out as wrong. What is the terminating hardware upstream from the routers ? If it is not configured for APS, yours won't work.

I have a chanelised STM1 card from the 7613 router connected to an SDH equipment with a fibre.

What hardware is the SDH device?

Who configures it ?

Is your link on this device configured for APS ?

Same holds true for the far end.
