Unity Connection- Auto Attendant Services for 2 locations

Hi

I have Cisco Unity Connection (CUC) installed at Site-A. I have one more site coming up, Site-B. Both the sites would be connecting to same CUCM cluster and each site would have its respective Voice Gateway. Currently Site-A has Auto-Attendant configured on CUCon the Boardline Number of the DID range for Site-A.

Would it be possible to configure Auto-Attendant on this CUC at Site-A for Site-B as well, that is, if call comes on Board Number of DID range at Site-B, call has to be handled by CUC at Site-A, and the respecting call routing needs to be taken care. Plz suggest,

Thanks.

The simple asnwer is yes. As long as SITE B has ip connectivity to UC.

Yes.  Just make sure that if you've done anything with partitions and search spaces (within Unity Connection) that users at both sites have the appropriate visibility.

Hi

Suppose I install a separate Unity Connection at Site-B to service the users at Site-B and still require the Board Number to land at Site-A for Auto-Attendant, Is the networking of the Unity Connection servers at Site-A and Site-B possible, to direct the call to respective extension at Site-B?

Thanks.

Hi,

Call control is done by a call routing agent such as callmanager. It does not matter which site you install Unity cconnection as long as it is integrated with Callmanager,  Calls can be transfered to your desired or required destination once it has been properly configured.

You can certainly digitally network the 2 Unity systems together but it would not be for AA purposes. Digital Networking allows Cross-Server Transfer and Logon which allows a user to call into the pilot (typically, the public pilot) number of either system and when logging in be directed to the appropriate home server. In addition, it facilitates transfers and replies natively (from TUI) between networked systems. The directory data is replicated between the various systems being networked so that's where this feature comes into play.

In your scenario, you would have 2 separate CUC systems and 2 separate integrations with CUCM (regardless of whether CUC is networked or not). For AA's on CUC-A, you would direct those calls via CTI RP to the respective CUC system from CUCM. The same is true for AA's on CUC-B. The routing of calls for AA's would be handled at the CUCM, not within CUC.
