Virtual IP on 6513

Unanswered Question
Jul 7th, 2010

Hi

I have 2 6513 switches installed in 2 different places. They have L3 connectivity in between. I have 2 mail servers connected to 6513 (one each). Both are on different subnets. I want to use single virtual IP to poll email in such a way if one of the mail server goes down, other will keep responding to users requests.

Thank you in advance.

Sheeraz

I have this problem too.

Hi Sheeraz,

You want to configure virtual ip for server farms for mail servers,if yes you need to have CSM

http://www9.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/services_modules/csm/4.2.x/configuration/guide/rsfarms.html

Hope to Help !!
