Folks,
We have a 4006 switch that seems to drop connectivity on and off..... making it difficult for user to work.
We have swapped out modules with a 4500 switch we had to see if makes any difference.
I have cleared the interface counters on one of the ports on the blade to see if that helps.
Anybody have any suggestions to assit in troubleshooting this blade without taking down the network and otherr users?
Is there a command that I can run that will not impact the production folks that can give me some hints.
I have seen posts about STP etc......
Thanks.

Try "show test 6" before and when it is in and error mode. Check to see if the counters show discarded packets. "Show logging buffer" to see if any error messages are generated. Also, look to see if you have any spanning tree problems.

Check the ouptut of show platform crashdump to see if the switch has crashed.
