We have a Linksys 8-port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Switch (SRW2008MP) with a fiber SFP interface.
If I trunk the Linksys to a 2960G everything is fine. If I move the fiber interface to a 3560 G in the same rack there is no link at the Cisco switch.
Does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be?

Info:
Catalyst 2960G with 20 GigabitEthernet ports and 4 Gigabit/SFP ports.
(WS-C2960G-24TC-L)
C2960 Software (C2960-LANBASE-M), Version 12.2(35)SE, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
interface GigabitEthernet0/22
switchport mode trunk
keepalive 10
media-type sfp
end

Catalyst 3560G with 48POE ports and 4 SFP ports (WS-C3560G-48PS)
C3560 Software (C3560-IPBASE-M), Version 12.2(53)SE2, RELEAS E SOFTWARE (fc3)
interface GigabitEthernet0/49
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk
end
(The 3560G only havs a SFP module on port 49, so there is no media-type command for that port.)

Switch to switch requires a cross over cable - inless auto MDIX is enabled.
For auto MDIX to work correctly - both ports need to be auto duplex & auto speed on the cisco switches.

Hello,
Can you please make sure that both 2960 and 3560 have same type of SFP? Also, what happens if you connect 2960 and 3560 through fiber? Does the link come up?

Hello,
I use the same physical SFP interface when I test the connection between the linksys and the two Cisco switches(3560G and 2960G).
I have now managed to verify that I get a link when I connect the 3560G with the 2960G with fiber and SFP ports.
