Hi All,

I have misplaced my Terminal Cable to console to the Meetingplace 3515 Media Server, mp-3515ms-av250.

I built one using the cable pinout provided by docwiki.cisco.com:

To Chassis (DB-9 Male)FunctionTo PC Terminal (DB-9 Female)

2

TXD

3

3

RXD

5

GND

My cable is tested to be OK, however, i'm getting no response from the device.

Has anyone faced a similar problem?

Thanks

Hi,

Try with this:

Signal Name

Side 1
Side 2Signal
TD (Transmit Data)32RD
RD (Receive Data)23TD
RTS (Request to Send)78CTS
CTS (Clear To Send)87RTS
SG (Signal Ground)55SG
DSR (Data Set Ready)64DTR
CD ( Carrier Detect)14DTR
DTR (Data Terminal Ready)41CD
DTR(Data Terminal Ready)46DSR

There are no more document, but if Cisco says that it's a null modem cable, then it's a "full" null modem cable.

Not the 235 pinout only.

Regards,

Antra
