These three topics together? So far, no way!

Does anyone have a solution how to manage ASAs 8.2 with ciscoworks lms 3.2 via snmpv3?

I am almost depressed that this is not working, although I implemented the newest patches I found.

Inventory job: "device sensed, collection failed"

(snmpv2 is working)

The tragic: my opensource CACTI has no problems to collect the infos.

This is actually a known bug, CSCte66765. Unfortunately, there is no workaround, but it is planned to be fixed in LMS 4.0 due out this August.

or is it in general with all ASA if you are running LMS 3.2?

Do you know of anyone whom is using SNMPv3 on a ASA running 8.x? Or will I have to wait to upgrade to 4.0 in order to mange my ASA's with SNMPv3.

I actually have a TAC case open in order to try an fire this out but I have no Luck.

This occurs for all ASAs running 8.2. The fix is only available in LMS 4.0. The only "workaround" is to use SNMPv1. The main issue is with GETBULK on the ASA. A bug has been opened for the ASA as well (CSCti16586).
