1. CUCIMOC installation file is required.

2. No license will be consumed if you don't use soft phone mode.

If its CUCM 8.0 and you want to use the softphone which license(s) is needed? Do I only need the LIC-ADJ-USR-AUDVID or is it something else.

If I only want to use the CUCIMOC for presense and IM then no license is needed on the CM side?

There's no such thing called "use the CUCIMOC for presense and IM".

Presence and IM was provided by MOC (Microsoft).  They have nothing to do with CUCIMOC (Cisco).

So if I want to pass only phone status to MOC and not do any dialing, would I still need to use Cisco Unified Client Services Framework and consume 3 DLUs?

Hi yshraybman,

It is my understanding that, should you wish to use CUCiMOC only for Remote Call Control and to pass presence into CUCM, you do not require any licensing on CUCM.

However, if you wish to use the soft phone feature of CUCiMOC, you would require the appropriate Adjunct device UCL (or equivalent CUWL).
