Hello all, Sorry for being very green.  But I inherited a Cisco Unity Express phone system 2.1.  We are trying to add some more phones, but are unable to getting the following error message "Registration Rejected: Max Phone".  What i know so far is the Cisco CallManager is on the router and the verison is Cisco Unity Express Version 2.1. Software: 12.4(4)XC / CME 4.0(1)

What is the best way to fix this problem?

Thanks for your time and help,

Nick

Hello,

Under telephony-service you can check with max-ephone how many phones you can add: http://cisco.biz/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/command/reference/cme_m1ht.html#wp1094681

If you can't add more, you need bigger router capable of registering more phones.

Check this link for specifications: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/requirements/guide/33matrix.htm

Hope it helps, please rate if it does.

Kind regards,

- Adrian.

Thanks Adrian, Thanks for the quick reply, and I will rate.  I do have a follow up question, when you say "a bigger router", do you mean bigger as in hardware platform (get bigger router then 2811) or bigger as in the IOS software (upgrade the IOS and CME)?  Your link is point to software platforms.  Is there a place were i can see what that maximum phone that this version or hardware platform supports?

Thanks,

Nick

Nevermind, Sorry, your link had all that information.  Thanks again.
