Problems with SRW2016 switch

Hi,

I think I am haveing an intermittant problem with a SRW2016 switch. It is connected to 4 servers and a few workstations. The servers are 3 x server2008 enterprise and 1 x server2003.

The problems I see are as follows.

1. Occasionally one of the servers will obtain a 192.168 address when it should be from a DHCP reservation in the 10.129 range.

2. Occasionally we will loose all access to a server and after a reboot the only log entries suggest it lost connectivity with the licensing server

3. Occasionally one of the servers will obtain a 10.129 address but not the reserved one.

Each server has 2 NICs and I am running LAG which seems to work fine.

Can anyone suggest a starting point to debug this problem?

Details of the configuration are,

Router on 10.129.108.1, SRW2016 on 10.129.108.2, ServerPDC (server2008) on 10.129.108.10 Fixed, ServerRDP1 (server2008) on 10.129.108.11 by DHCP reservation, ServerRDP2 (server2008) on 10.129.108.12 by DHCP reservation, and ServerUtility (server2003) on 10.129.108.13 by reservation. All worstations on 10.129.108.100 up by DHCP.

Hi,

In order to troubleshoot this problem check the syslog or error messge in switch and any logs in evetviewer of the windows server to see what is problem and is this behaivor is frequent or not.

This entry occurs twice every 5 minutes

The Flash Log is empty

The logs on any of the servers generally show a loss of connectivity but are not all that consistant.

I just arrived today and one of the servers was offline with an IP address of 192.168.1.27 so I reset the adapter and it came good on the 10.129 range. Here are the memory log entries when I did that.

As I said I did nothing on the switch just simply did a repair on the server adapter team.

Any clues here?
