CUCM not Synchronised to NTP server

Hi all I have CUCM 7

I used Cisoc OS Administratrtion, Settings>NTP Servers.

and I added the server which is cisco router.

but if ssh the serve and use the command:

utils ntp status , I can find the the server Synchronized for local not for NTP.

ntpd (pid 29169) is running...

in the router I added the following configuration:

ntp source FastEthernet2/0
ntp master 9

I also tried to change the Stratum number but no luck

any help please and thanks in advanced.

Is this VMWare or hardware server?

What version of CUCM and what VMWare product are you using?

I've seen some inconsistencies in syncing with NTP when using VMWare in my lab. I've had one VM build sync with 28XX series router upon build without issue and another fail. However, I had almost no issues syncing to a domain controller (AD)...just tested for the sake of ruling out issues.

and VMWare Work station 6
