I have 10.10.0.0/16.  I know I have the 65,000 hosts from 10.10.0.1 - 10.10.255.254.  Is 10.10.254.254 one of the usable hosts?   Is it possible to use the host 10.10.254.254 as the default gateway?

Thanks.

Laura

Hello,

Yes, 10.10.254.254 is a usable host and you can use it for any purpose in

your network. It confirms all the rules i.e. all host bits are not zeros nor

ones.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

NT

Hi, ganeshh.iyer

Sorry for my frankness, but I can not mention that very often you give duplicate answers on already answered questions and your answers contain no additional useful information. Obviously this is being done for gathering points, which is not fair. Besides, it is just disrespectful against your colleagues, like you don't notice their answers.

P.S.

I don't have any doubt in your high qualification, but the fact hurt the eyes (and your image).

Sorry if I hurt your feelings...
