Hi
I have user who has 2 phones. One in the office and one at home conencted (a SPA525g connected via SSL VPN). Is it possible for the user to share an extension number but set the home phone not to ring if the user is in the office? Basically the Boss wants the extension number to be the same on both phones so no one knows if this user is calling from the office or from home.
Cheers

Dan,
One option would be to setup a shared directory number and have the user enable Do Not Disturb on the home phone when he is not there. The office phone will ring normally.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Brandon
I've just tried the Shared line option and it seems to work, except for the DND button wont activate on the SPA525g.
The button is there but when you press it the DnD tab flash's but "DnD" isnt displayed on the phone.
I may wait until the CCA supports Extension mobility, then activate it for the relevent phones.
Thanks Again

Alternatively, you could set up the shared extension to use a silent ring button configuration.

Hi Cole,
Alternatively, you could set up the shared extension to use a silent ring button configuration.
That is great advise, this is what I was thinking when reading the previous posts
the button configuration would look something like this:
ephone 1
button 1s10 <<<< the "s" being silent so in this case you do not use the "o" or Overlay command and or the ":" command... I am fairly certain this would work, but don't have a machine to test it on.
Cheers,
David.
